Lansweeper helps companies track every device in their tech environment—from laptops to factory machines. Think of it as a map of your entire IT world. It’s fast, detailed, and always up to date. Thousands of companies around the world rely on Lansweeper to help them get visibility into their IT infrastructure. It powers decisions in cybersecurity, service management, procurement—you name it.
But under the hood, Lansweeper is a data powerhouse. And the bigger the data, the bigger the challenge when it comes to making it usable.
Data isn’t a nice-to-have for Lansweeper. It’s at the core of their product. The entire platform runs on discovering and organizing millions of data points across tech environments. But customers don’t want raw data. They want answers, fast. So in between the data and the customer, they needed a critical interface to help clients analyze and visualize all that data.
And that's where they hit a wall. At first, they tried to solve it the classic way: build it themselves. A query builder with a few basic graphs on top. It worked for a while, but it wasn’t built to scale. And it wasn’t built for their users.
"In true scale-up SaaS fashion, we suffered from the not-invented-here syndrome. We built analytics ourselves, and got into a loop where even the most basic dashboards required a lot of time from our engineers. It slowed down development so much that we started looking into other solutions."

Meanwhile, support tickets rolled in. Customers wanted more flexibility, more clarity, more control. Internal requests ballooned. Engineers were stuck maintaining dashboards instead of innovating.
"We had a very long list of product improvements focused on reporting and dashboards. Timeline estimates were high, as our engineering team’s core strength has historically been in data collection and preparation, rather than building advanced reporting and visualization experiences."

Something needed to change. So instead of sinking more time into developing visualizations from scratch, they decided to explore a new path.
When the team began looking for solutions, they weren’t just searching for a plug-and-play chart library. They wanted a long-term partner. A product that is flexible enough to grow with them, but also nimble enough to solve customer problems now.
Luzmo’s native dashboard builder gave their customers an instant upgrade. Analyzing data became more interactive. Navigation was smoother. And most importantly—users could finally explore their data without calling support.

With Luzmo handling the heavy lifting of analytics and visualization, Lansweeper’s engineering team could move the needle much quicker. They could leave the technology behind dashboarding to a team that lived and breathed it, while they doubled down on meeting the many requests of their users.
Instead of spreading their talent too thin, they sharpened it. They accelerated innovation and created a better product.
Lansweeper didn’t stop at dashboards. They wanted analytics in every corner of their product. Especially where problems actually happened. With Luzmo Flex, they embedded visualizations right where users were working—like asset pages and troubleshooting screens. It made the product feel smarter. Simpler. More helpful.

With all of this currently in beta, Lansweeper is already thinking of the next phase. Instead of just surfacing the data, they want to start explaining it. With Luzmo IQ, an AI-powered assistant for data analysis, they plan to add a fast-track to insights that opens their platform to a new segment of users.
"Our users are fairly technical. But the moment you democratize data access, which is exactly what Luzmo IQ does, you open up a whole new realm of users and use cases. Imagine a CISO or CIO can log in and just ask questions. No SQL. Just answers."
Handing off part of your product to someone else is never easy. But Lansweeper's engineers were tired of solving problem after problem. Once they started jamming with Luzmo's team, they realized that all the challenges they ran into had been solved with Luzmo many times before.
"I spent very limited time on the business case for Luzmo. The amount of engineers you need, the cost of opportunity,... using Luzmo instead of continuing to build it ourselves was just the sensible thing to do."

And their customers? Reactions to their beta program were overwhelmingly positive.
