Updated

  1. Microsoft

Microsoft documented Fabric Embed in preview: Real-Time Dashboards embedded in JavaScript and TypeScript apps through delegated Entra access, with user-based authentication only. Power BI reports keep using Power BI Embedded.

    Why it matters

When your customers are not in your directory, app-owns-data is the pattern you need. It is not part of the Fabric Embed preview yet, so check which of the two paths your product actually requires.

  2. Embeddable

Embeddable shipped Skills: reusable guidance you attach to AI prompts, which the assistant then follows when it builds or edits a widget.

    Why it matters

Prompt guidance is becoming a line item on embedded analytics roadmaps. Useful context when you score AI features side by side rather than vendor by vendor.

  3. Omni

Omni announced its acquisition of Explo in October 2025. Explo became a wholly owned subsidiary, and Omni said the Explo platform would keep running, with full access and support, for 12 months while customers migrate.

    Why it matters

That 12-month window closes in October 2026. Teams still on Explo are choosing now between migrating to Omni and moving elsewhere, so check how much of your roadmap depends on it.
