Product Update - November 2023

As the end of the year is drawing closer, we're working hard at Luzmo to finish off 2023 on a good note. In our latest product release update, we have a range of exciting features and improvements that benefit all Luzmo customers.

Luzmo 🤝 Databricks

luzmo and databricks

Many of our users manage their datasets on Databricks, a unified data and analytics platform built around Apache Spark. Known as a data lakehouse, Databricks seamlessly combines data engineering, machine learning, and data science capabilities.

We’re thrilled to announce our integration with Databricks this month, allowing you to securely connect Databricks from within Luzmo to view and analyze the data in your lakehouse.

With our intuitive drag-and-drop interface, you can quickly build complex dashboards - a great way to extract actionable insights and help your customers make better decisions.

Share data source connections

data source connection sharing

We’ve heard your requests for a better way to share data source connections with stakeholders and team members to collaborate on your analysis. Our latest feature, Connection Sharing, is here to improve your data collaboration process.

With just a few clicks, you can easily share an existing connection. This means your team can scale up and get the insights they need faster, without having to worry about setting up connections individually.

To access this feature, simply click on the new "Connections" option in the sidebar menu. From here, you can view all of your data source connections, create new ones, and search or sort existing connections.

To share a connection, click on the three dots to the right of the connection name and select "Share." You can then set the user's access level, giving them permission to use, edit, or own the connection. To keep things tidy, we’ve removed “Connected Accounts'' from the Settings page.

Hosted datasets performance boost

hosted datasets performance boost

We have released a performance upgrade for datasets stored in Luzmo.

With this upgrade, you will experience 7x faster upload times, improved query response times, and better uptime. We also increased the file upload limit from 10MB to 150MB.

This upgrade benefits data that’s directly uploaded to Luzmo. This includes local file uploads, data imported from Google Drive, and the Luzmo Demo dataset.

We think you’ll also love

1️⃣ Enhanced Number Widget: A new “Fill missing days” option is now available as an Evolution setting. If you set this to "Manual value" and “Value = 0”, the % change calculation will always be calculated from yesterday to today. In addition, the widget now shows a dash (-) when there's no data for the current period, consistent with the conditional number widget.

✨ Faster loading times in Regular Tables: Working with tables that have a large number of rows? We’ve implemented “infinite scrolling”, meaning we will load more rows as you scroll down the table, without having to wait for the entire table to load at once. Please note that this feature is enabled by default when you create new tables.

📋Improved Slot Menu: This update gives you more room for longer column names and reduces the risk of removing columns or clicking the scrollbar by mistake.
