Product Release Update – June 2026

The products winning right now aren't just using AI. They're weaving it into every interaction, every answer, every moment a user needs insight. The teams building them aren't waiting for the perfect toolkit. They're moving fast, connecting the right pieces, and shipping. Today, we're making three of those pieces a lot easier to connect.

Embedded MCP Server

The Luzmo MCP Server is live, and it covers two scenarios that come up frequently when building AI-powered products: 

1. Adding Luzmo IQ or chart generation as a capability inside your own agent (such as OpenAI Agents SDK, Claude Agent SDK, LangChain)
2. Exposing a Luzmo-powered MCP that your end users can interact with directly. Both are covered.

Our hosted MCP Server handles the first scenario with a one-line code change instead of a full custom API integration. You get:

• Luzmo IQ answers: your agent can prompt our analyst and get natural-language answers grounded in your data
• Chart generation: create Luzmo charts on demand, right inside the agent
• Dataset and column search: so your agent knows what to query before it queries it

For the second scenario, we're also providing the MCP source code for customers who want to build a user-facing MCP from their own product. Take it, adapt it, make it yours.

Access control is all handled through embed tokens (so each user sees exactly what they should), and we support the MCP App standard, meaning generated charts can render inside third-party UIs like Claude or ChatGPT without you having to build a visualization layer. Genuinely useful if your users are already living in those tools.

Who gets what:

• All customers: dataset search and chart generation via MCP
• Luzmo IQ customers: full IQ answers via MCP too

New Agent API: one endpoint to rule them all

We spent a lot of time looking at how the best AI APIs are structured. The result: a single, standardized endpoint, /AIPrompt, that covers all of Luzmo's current and future agent capabilities. No more juggling multiple endpoints or digging through Luzmo-specific docs to understand the shape of a request.

What's new in this release:

• The chart (item) agent is now accessible via API: previously only available inside Luzmo Studio, now you can create and edit charts programmatically
• Improved streaming: cleaner, easier-to-handle responses (less parsing gymnastics)
• Conversation and message storage: everything gets saved and is retrievable via /AIConversation and /AIMessage, including any charts generated along the way

This API is already powering the MCP Server and our Analyst page, and will be the foundation for all internal AI features going forward. If you're currently on /IQMessage, it still works, and Luzmo IQ improvements will continue to show up there. But new capabilities are /AIPrompt only, so migration is worth putting on the roadmap.

Improved Analyst Page 

The Analyst page has always been a great way for you to validate what Luzmo IQ can do for your users. We just made it much better.

Here's what changed:

• Quick embed: there's now an embed modal (the same one you know from dashboards) so you can drop the Analyst page into your product in minutes. 
• Refreshed UI: visual improvements to dataset and question suggestions 
• Localization: the page now respects app language settings properly
