Product Update - February 2025

This release brings two main changes: 

• Enhanced formula capabilities with new grouping options
• A native ClickHouse connector that delivers improved performance and reliability

Enhanced Formula Builder With Grouping Options

We’ve made grouping options more accessible by integrating them into our aggregation formulas with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface.

Choose from these three grouping options for more control over your data:

• GROUPED: Group data based on the chart's dimensions
• FULL: Calculate aggregation across the full dataset after filters
• INCLUDE/EXCLUDE: Selectively choose specific dimensions for grouping

We’ll also be adding more improvements to aggregation formulas this quarter:

• Post-aggregation filtering with formulas in filters
• Set a default format for numeric formulas

New ClickHouse Connector

We've transitioned to a native ClickHouse connector, replacing our previous plugin-based solution. 

This brings several key benefits to our ClickHouse users:

• Improved performance → Faster query execution and data retrieval
• Enhanced stability → More reliable connection with reduced overhead
• Advanced SQL capabilities → Full SQL query support for more complex data operations
• Better query visibility → When using query logs, the “Generated SQL” query is now displayed, helping you identify potential issues and allowing our support team to troubleshoot faster

The migration has been completed smoothly for all customers – so you can immediately take advantage of these improvements without disrupting your workflows!
